Licensing

Post by mcw »

Hi,

some questions regarding licensing:

1. Is it possible to install and run VAW Free on a Windows Server operating system, e.g. Server 2016?

2. Is it possible to install and run VAW Workstation on a Windows Server operating system, e.g. Server 2016?

3. The license seems to be a subscription in fact. If we buy e.g. a one year subscription: What happens after the year has passed in case we do not prolong the subscription: Can we still use the software without restrictions?

4. Is it possible to directly backup to a repo of Veeam Backup Free Edition for Hyper-V (running in free mode), using VAW workstation?

5. If answer to question 4. is yes: Is it possible to restore single items (or the whole machine in case of a backup of an entire computer) to a target machine from Veeam Backup Free Edition for Hyper-V (running in free mode)?

Thanks for your help!

I think so, though I don't have Veeam Backup FREE here at the moment to test this.

3. If the license expires it will go to free mode so renewing is advised.

5. This is possible since the wizard is included :-)
