limiting network bandwidth

Post by dmitry-ch »

This topic has already been raised several times on the forum, but I could not find a clear answer, please help me figure it out.
Several computers on the network run at 100mbs, and when the agent starts creating a backup, the network card is loaded to 100, all other network services are wildly slow, even rdp freezes.
Is there a way to limit the speed of an agent?

I am installing agent via VBR server and I have no tray icon. An attempt to launch an icon on the target computer after Veeam.EndPoint.tray.exe ends with an error message "Unable to compete the action because this backup agent is centrally managed by your system administrator".

For the communication between Agents (Source Data Mover) and the Repository/Gateway Server (Target DataMover) you can use the regular network throttling within Backup & Replication.
