Might sound like a dumb question but where are the application settings stored ?
Case in point: I have cloned a Win7 Pro machine having VEB (free edition) installed. Ran Sysprep. Re configured the machine to my liking except for VEB where my backup definition are still referring to my old settings. I have tried to deinstall the app (including SQL server), delete all files under "Veeam" folders, delete all registry entries but after re-installing my old backup job definitions are still there !
Thanks for your help !

Re: Location of VEB settings ?
Hi atakacs,
Yup, the temp files like logs and configuration are kept after uninstall procedure. I hope we will correct it in the upcoming update. Meanwhile – here is a trick:
1. Stop Veeam Endpoint Backup service
2. Via regedit.exe add to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Endpoint Backup key Name = Recreatedatabase Type = DWORD Value = 1
3. Start Veeam Endpoint Backup service
4. Delete the key from the step 3

Thanks for the tip !
Just wondering: where is this information physically saved ? I guess I could do some ProcMom to discover it but I'd rather learn about it from you

Re: Location of VEB settings ?
In the localdb under C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile. The said trick should force the database to be recreated, thus settings are erased.
