Since there is no Veeam Agent for Mac OS, i wonder if the following will work?

The aim is to backup files on an iMac using Veeam, so that we are able to copy the backup to tape.

The Mac will have two internal disks. The first disk will be used for Mac OS and Windows OS. The second disk will be formatted using exFAT and will be used to store files that need to be backed up.

Mac OS will be used to create and edit files, which get saved to the exFAT disk. On a regular basis, we will use Boot Camp to boot to Windows 10. Windows 10 will have the Veeam Agent installed and will be configured to backup the exFAT disk.

Will the Veeam agent successfully backup the exFAT disk, even though files on the disk are authored and edited using Mac OS?

Hello OCIS.

Are you looking for a file level backup only? To be honest we've never tested the scenario where second operating system was MAC OS. Since the backup is taken on image level - file backup should be ok, on the Operating System level, i'd rather check Bare Metal Recovery to a VM to make sure that it works as expected.

Thanks. I need file level only. No need for bare metal recovery and no need to backup the OS.

Are there any plans for a Veeam Agent for Mac OS?
