Hey, what is the recommended way to manage old backups? I figured I would need 2 full backups a year and the rest can be incremental, one incremental per week. Once I perform brand new full backup then I no longer need all old incremental ones (I still need old full backup, though). How can I remove these old backups?
Currently I don't use any automation/schedule. Backups are done manually (using button Backup Now).
Also, should I be using backup scheduling and have backup job be performed automatically?

Re: Managing old backups, how to delete?
Hello MarsBaby.
You can delete the previous backup chain manually (but make sure you are not deleting new full backup file - .vbk) You can also automate restore point removal by setting job retention to the desired value. How can I remove these old backups?
You defenitely should try it. Running backups manually is good, but if it can be automated - it should be automated. Kindly, take a look at possible schedule options here. Thanks!should I be using backup scheduling and have backup job be performed automatically?
