Missing full backup after retry
I've set Veeam Agent to run an active backup on a month's first Saturday, incremental otherwise. (Free Edition 5.0.0.4301)
Since I regularly disconnect the USB backup disk, it happens that the destination is not available on first attempt. However, any retry always runs an incremental backup, no matter if a full backup was originally scheduled or not.

Yes, it's a standalone agent.
Active full is set in Local Storage -> Advanced -> Monthly on First Saturday, every month.
Full works if the backup disk is ready when the job starts, but when it needs to be retried it's only incremental.

Small update:

Update:
I have removed and recreated the backup job, without changing the problem in any way.
Support has investigated the case but found that the Windows version (W10/21H1) isn't currently supported by VAW. Sadly, that closes the case (I'm pretty sure I saw this problem with 20H2 as well though).

Hi, I'm using Standalone agent too. My reason of retries is different. I have quite a bit errors of "Creating VSS snapshot. Error code: VSS_WS_FAILED_AT_FREEZE [0x800423f2]" The Agent retry automatically few minutes later. But if failed copy is full at retry agent make incremental instead.

@nils, we've gone through your logs and were able to reproduce a bug that happens in very rare circumstances and only when using rotated drives. It has been already scheduled to be fixed in the next major version.
@acidsnow, your issue seems to be completely different. We are looking into your logs as well and I'll provide an update here in this topic as soon as I have something to share.

Excellent @wishr, glad you nailed it. I'm not using rotating drives (only one drive registered with VAW), but that might be automatic for removable drives. Thanks for the update!

A quick update, since 5.0.1.4584 has been released and W10 21H1 is now on the supported list.
I just gave it a try and the behavior hasn't changed from 5.0.0.4301: any retry causes a backup to be incremental, no matter whether an active full was scheduled or not.
