Hi All,
Is it possible to move backup files from service provider A to Service provider B and remap the backup when using agent?
Regards

Re: move data between service providers with agent
Hi Badabing
How are the Agents managed? By VSPC, VBR or are those standalone agents?
Do you use block repositories or object storage repositories (migration only works for block)?
For VBR managed or standalone agents, this steps should be possible:
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/agent ... tml?ver=60
In case of VSPC managed agents, will the same VSPC be used or a different one?
A different VSPC means creating new backup jobs. A Map option is not available for VSPC managed backup jobs.
If you can answer my questions, I can ask my team for further information.
Best,
Fabian

Re: move data between service providers with agent
HI,
Thanks for the reply.
This is going from block to block storage simple repository. Stand alone not managed by VSPC.
The scenario is that the data already exists in 1 provider and they will shift it to another provider.

You cannot move backups between Veeam Cloud Connect repositories.

Re: move data between service providers with agent
Hi badabing
Standalone means, no VBR involved on the customers side. The job is configured manually on the Veeam Agent.
In that situation, the steps in the following documentation can be used(I confirmed it this morning in my lab): https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/agent ... tml?ver=60
This move feature cannot be used between cloud connect server or within a single cloud connect environment. And it's not valid for a standalone agent either.
Best,
Fabian

That article documents how to move backup files within the same backup environment and not between different VBR/VCC server.https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
