Hi Everyone,
We had some virtual servers setup with Veeam Agents. Due to reboot schedule concerns, I was thinking of moving them over to regular backup jobs.
Since the backup agents sometimes require updates that need reboots. Is there any real reason to keep virtual servers on Agent backups?
I think it was done historically in the past because we had some iSCSI drives, but no longer do.
From what I've researched there isn't a need to keep them on Agents, and I can do application aware backup with the regular job.
Does this sound correct?
Thanks!

Re: Moving Agents to Regular VMWare Back Jobs
Hello Planb
VM backup jobs are recommended if you're using one of our supported hypervisors. VM backup jobs can also do application aware backups: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
If you have the storage capacity to initiate a new backup chain with VM backup jobs, I recommend making the switch.
Best,
Fabian
