NIC link aggregation and multithreading
Some of our backup repositories don't have 10Gbit ethernet, but rely on 4x1Gbit LACP link aggregation. Normally, that would only give us 1Gbit performance per backup job. However, I've noticed that Robocopy can push performance to 2Gb/s using multithreaded copy operations. I can see throughput rising from 960Mbps to 1.2 - 1.4 - 1.6 - 1.9Gbps when I specify 8, 16, 32, 64 or even 128 threads. This got me thinking. Could Veeam Agent also make use of the same multithreading method and push past the single session, 1Gbit limitation? Perhaps in a future version?

Hi Jonathan,
Currently not possible but that's a good request, thank you. I'll share it with the team.

Re: NIC link aggregation and multithreading
Thanks, that would certainly help backup up 130TB+ file servers
