It seems that every back up product i have used over the years persists with a time based restore philosophy, for many this meant hunt the file through endless differential or incremental backups. Whilst Veeam at least offers all files at each back up point which is vast improvement on many systems you still start by selecting the point in time. Surely it would be better, when dealing with a specific object like a file, to select the file and then choose the point in time to restore from?
Or may be its just me?
