Hi,

last Week I have following Situation:

A Diskdrive ( System ) was running out of Diskspace, VSS Snapshots could't be taken. So the Backupjob hung, sending "[fail] Mails".
How can I tell VAfW that it should stop after n Retries ?

Hi Volker.

VAW Free has built in retry cycle for 24 hours to ensure you get a restore point per day but you can temporary disable backup job via Control Panel >Settings.

If I were your I’d sole the problem with free space: you are referring to system drive which per MS recommendation requires at least 10% of free space for OS to work properly. The same amount of storage should be enough for VSS snapshot creation.

Yes, you are right, but sometimes I can't lay hands on, because I'm on the Top of the Mountain or somewhere else ;)

it will be enought, to have a number of retrys and after that so the Job will then abort.

Retry option is available in server edition (together with slightly different schedule). You can get a trial version to test it here.
