Hello everyone.
What is the best approach to virtualize physical Windows machines (P2V) to Hyper-V?
What worries me most is the risk of the VM not starting and becoming unstable due to driver issues, etc.
- Disk2VHD and manual VM creation associating the created VHD/VHDX.
- Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows and then manually creating a Hyper-V VM, starting with a bootable ISO, and restoring the backup.
- Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows > VBR to create VM and restore backup.
- StarWind V2V converter (Free)?
Will these 3 methods yield the same results, or is there one that is more effective and has fewer problems?
What is your experience?
Thank you.

Re: P2V - best approach
Hello! Using VBR to instantly recover VAW backup to a Hyper-V VM is the best approach as you will know immediately if V2V conversion was successful or not (as opposed to hours later classic restore or conversion takes). Thanks
