password protected while we need to restore data from veeam

I have installed the agent on windows server and that is license version. I have configure the job with password protected and save the data to local NAS. Backup is running successfully but when i tried to restore and didn't ask for password.

Is there any way so anyone can't reatore data without password through veeam agent.

Hi Jag,

Local VAW instance keeps the decryption key in it’s database to allow seamless recovery thus password was not prompted. If you try to perform a recovery from any other VAW installation or via Veeam RE without decryption password being collected – you will see the password prompt.
