Performing Backup Copy for VEB using Veeam Backup Free
Hi,
How can I setup Backup Copy job from Veeam Backup Free console for my VEB backups?
I try to follow steps described on this help page:
http://helpcenter.veeam.com/endpoint/11 ... _copy.html
It does not work for me. I cannot find objects (VEB backups) to add the list.
Regards!

And one more thing, VEB does not support Veeam Backup FREE at all, you should be using the full version of the product to be able to store VEB backups in the repository.

Though you still can perform restores. Go to Options - View - Full functionality (advanced) In "full managed" mode you can place a VEB backup file into default free VBR local repo and preform a restore, however you'll not be able to use free VBR repo as a target for VEB jobs.

Nikolay,
Life hack: it should be possible to use file to tape job in VBR Free edition, so you can file to tape endpoint backups, stored on a file share, to any free VTL (virtual tape library) appliance like Quadstor or MHVTL.

Vitaliy, Pavel, thanks for good tips.
Dmitry, VTL idea sounds interesting. This adds another "virtual" level and makes whole system a bit more complex but simplifies offsite copy and rotation procedures...
Is there some free Windows VTL software?

Unfortunately, I am aware of only free Linux VTLs. However, Tom Sightler has shared his Linux based appliance here – it’s packed as .ovf and all the needed creds are in the VM’s note.
As for me - I prefer Quadstor.
