Possible to upgrade Veeam Agent (free) from v3.0 to v6.2 and keep settings?

Hi all!

I'm running a really old version of Veeam Agent for Windows v3.0.1.1039 (Free Edition).

Is it possible to upgrade to the latest v6.2 and keep the backup job config and all settings?

Thanks a lot for the reference link, @ybarrap2003. I had a vague hunch I'd read that somewhere...

Ah well, I will have to redo the entire backup configuration when I upgrade. And also, I have to start an entirely new backup chain, which is rather less appealing...

EDIT: Maybe if it was possible to find and old version of Veeam Agent for Windows (Free), say v4.0, to upgrade to first. And then move on to the latest, v6.2?

Yes, you need to upgrade in two steps.

v3 > v4 > v6.2.

So that way, I can keep all my backup job settings and the already created backup chain will stay intact?

I upgraded from 3.0 to 4.0 and then to 6.2 and all seems to have gone well. My backup settings are kept and I can browse and restore from my old backups. (I haven't yet tried to create a new backup.)

The only small detail is that after going to 6.2, only the latest two backups are shown on the main screen. The ones that are older (more than 21 days) are not visible. But using "Restore individual files" they are still available and working.
