Hello, I need a command-line or Powershell option to stop a backup in progress. We automat our patches on a pair of Agent for Windows 2.0 servers and I need to be able to stop the backup to patch the servers. According to Veeam support, this is not something they help with, and I need to go to the forums. I know that the Backup Manager has a way to START the backup, and I know the PSSnapin has a stop job CMDLET, but I can't find a stop command for the former, and I can't find an installer for the latter.
Anyone know?

Re: Programmatically stopping a running backup
Hi llichte,
Looks like the only way to stop the running job via script is to kill the backup process running in Windows Task Manager.

Re: Programmatically stopping a running backup
Is there a risk of that being destructive to the application if application processing is enabled?
