reboot and select proper boot device
Hi All
We Successfully create a backup image of a Win Server 2012 machine, when we came to test the restore on a test server we have we get the error on boot up - reboot and select proper boot device We have tried to untick the inject the drivers and that doesn't work - the only difference in server are the drivers we are restoring too. The backup server was running 320Gb disk, the restore machine has 500gb disk?
Software: Endpoint Backup Free
Any ideas?
thanks
Ryan

Hi Ryan,
The size of the disk shouldn't matter here. What is the exact error message you see while booting up from the recovery media?
Thanks!

Re: reboot and select proper boot device
Hi,
thanks for reply
The steps we have taken are:
Insert usb pen with recovery software on
Select bare metal recovery
finds backup image from external hard drive
select manual restore and it selects C: drive and two small recovery partitions
The restore completes successfully so we remove all usb devices and reboot
We then get this error when we boot up (see image)

Re: reboot and select proper boot device
Just discussed it with our QA team, can you open a support case (please post your case ID here) and submit the restore logs from this session? Our team will assist you with logs location.

As far as I know they are stored in the backup repository where backup is made to. They will contact you via email directly. Thanks for posting your case ID.
