Remote File servers

Post by leo.white »

I have 15 remote locations that all have basic file and print server services virtualized all around the country. We have used file based backup for years because buying Veeam Enterprise Plus seats to backup a single file server was just not cost effective. In the FAQ for the Veeam Agent i don't see anything about VMs. After VeeamON i am thinking that the Agent would be a good fit for these servers. I currently have small NAS devices deployed at each location that i copy files to plus push those same files to the cloud. I am thinking i could just push the Veeam agent backup to the NAS and then copy it back to my data-center IF backing up a VM is covered in the paid for Server licensing.

Yes, you can protect VMs with Agent for Windows.
Please review Product Editions in the User Guide. Thanks!
