Restore from OLDER VBK using veeam endpoint backup free?

I'm brand new at using Veeam Endpoint Backup Free. Thanks for this awesome product.

I'm using bare metal backup to backup the entire volume. Earlier today I backed up my machine to an external hard drive. It was windows 8 at the time. I then upgraded my machine to Windows 10 and did another complete volume backup. I see two vbk's on the external hard drive but when I go to restore using the usb stick recovery media, it only allows me to use the later of two backups. I need to revert to the earlier one.

How do I use the earlier vbk instead of the latest vbk...

What type of restore you are using? What backup mode was used for both backups? Thanks.

Hi Dima P,

When I go to Configure Backup under the Backup Mode, I selected "Entire Computer (recommended)."
Destination is set to "Local Storage" which represents my USB 5TB Toshiba Hard Drive.
There are two VBKs, both roughly 160GB. I want the first one, not the second one.

Is that the information you need?

Thanks Larry. And the first .vbk does not appear when you perform a Bare Metal Recovery, right?

That's correct. In the green background Veeam Endpoint Recovery screen under the "Restore Point" step, only the latter of the two displays. The one taken earlier in the day is not present in the list .... even though the vbk is present (along with a single vbm file) on the external hard drive. In the first step, the "Backup Location" step, it lists the vbm file.

Can you check if this .vbk is accessible on any other computer via file level recovery (just try to double click this .vbk file)?
