Hello,
I want to keep backuped two computer connected each other with a fibre optic using the Allied telesis 2711FXv2 with static IPs.
The backups of one PC are stored in a shared folder of the other PC and vice versa.
The problem I have is that when I want to restore a backup and I set up the fibre optic network I cannot see any shared folder.
If I "ping" on CMD the remote computer it works.
When I set the Network setting is mandatory to write a "Default Gateway" which of I don't need because is a local network of just two computers. Maybe does it cause an error to find the computer names?
Do I have to install any additional network driver?
Thank you

Re: Restore software unable to find shared folder
Hi guys,
This might be related to windows network surrounding issues (since recovery media is using native windows browsing capabilities). Try to type in the direct path to the folder manually and make sure you use correct set of credentials.
