I recently changed computers and wanted to restore a backup that was taken from my old computer. But, when I started the Veeam Agent for Windows, there was no "restore" option - only an option to create a new backup.
Is it possible to restore a backup from a different computer?
thanks,
Bert

It apparently can't be done from the Veeam control panel - That article did mention to restore directly from the VBK file, which is something I didn't think of.
Thanks!

Re: Restoring from a backup from a different comptuer?
Indeed, there's no dedicated "import backup" type of functionality in the control panel as far as I know. Helps to avoid UI bloat I guess. In most cases, restoring your backup to a different machine is expected to be done through the Veeam Recovery Media, which does allow importing backups from any supported location.
BTW, keep in mind you can also use Veeam Backup & Replication Community Edition. This can import any image-level backup created by any Veeam product, and provides some spectacular recovery options going far beyond basic file-level recovery.
