Hi cloggy,

Login to Veeam.com account is required, that’s true. Can you clear browsing cache and try again?

Hi, I cleared the cache (and even used another browser) but once I click on the RTM download Link, I get the Profile Upgrade screen and my private email address is not accepted despite selecting "End-User" in the Company Profile section. FYI, I can login to my Veeam account but as soon as I click on My Account, I get into this same screen again where my email address is not accepted....

Any other idea how I can download this RTM version?

Regards,
Dick

I don't believe there's currently a way to download anything from our web site using the private email address (that is, "free" email systems like Gmail, Yahoo and such). You can only register with the company email address... sorry about that...

Not true. I have downloaded version 1.5 with my private email address. The same email address that I can use for more free downloads from your website.....but not the RTM version.

Sure, there could be exceptions in place for certain downloads, but as a rule of thumb and "by default" such email addresses are not accepted, which is why you are prompted to update one. I will check if it is possible to add an exception to this download location as well, although unfortunately tomorrow is the public holiday for our web team, so I won't have any updates on this until Tuesday at the earliest. Again, sorry about this!

Hi, thanks for your reply. For now, I'll stick with the Beta version.

Just received an interesting email by a support person: "...is not release version yet, GA version will be available for downloading to End-Users when it's released."
Well, this doesn't make sense to me as the Beta version is available for everybody, even for those without a company email address and the RTM version is not...??????

Hi Dick,

Thanks for sharing. I reached support to make sure they are aware that this build is public, sorry for confusion.

Re: VAW 2.0 download issues

Post by cloggy »

Last week I received an email by Veeam that VAW 2.0 is now officially GA and I can download it....hurrah....well, you can guess what happened after I logged on: I need to upgrade my profile and my private email address is not accepted
Why is VEEAM so rigid about company email addresses? Why not providing the freeware VAW 2.0 version on the website to download it without the burden to upgrade a profile and not accepting a private email address?

You should be able to use your private address as well as we have multiple people doing this without an issue. Not really sure where you are getting this message in regards to updating your profile.

Sorry, but as soon as I enter my e-mail address the box turns red so I cannot pass this Upgrade Profile obstacle. I'm considering to give up and forget about VAW 2.0.

Could you let me know which address you are using? Might be related due the domain name that it fails for some reason. Feel free to send it via private message.
