Okay, is there another solutions to find out in which network the laptop is?
i dont want to start the backup if the laptop is in vpn.

Unless you are using a Veeam Backup & Replication repository as a backup target, it will be difficult. In this case, you can use the global network rules to make sure that there is no backup over a specific route.
Another way of doing it, but that is manual all the time if I am not mistaken, is setting the wireless network you are using for the VPN as a metered connection (windows 8 and 8.1) In that case, with the default setting the backup won't start.

Also if you have networks in different VLANs, then specifying destination target via IP address which will be reachable only via any other network connection (except for VPN) should do the trick.

You can actually use a task scheduler in conjunction with daily scheduled backups but such trick wont work with backup events.
