Stefan,
Maybe one more option for restoring as a vmdk: You can also create an empty VM and then do a Bare Metal restore to that VM. That is also what some people like to do

Hi Mike,
I tried this yesterday with my Win 10 machine.
The baremetal restore on a VM works fine!
Best regards
Stefan

Hi,
I'm sorry but I cannot shutdown the pc after a finished backup.
The Backup via windows task scheduler works fine.
How should my .bat file look?
Thank you!

Stefan,
Thanks for the heads up. So, you would like to create a backup monthly and then automatically shut down your computer, is that correct?
