Script before backup start

Hello everybody,

I use VAW 2.0 and Veeam B&R 9.5 U2. I search a function in agent to start a script before I start the backup. I searched the forum but I cant find any solution.
Bachground: we backup our server on rdx. The size is 1 TB and our server is 700GB. So I had the problem that my retention policy not work, because the rdx is to small for two full backupfiles.
The easiest way is to clean the rdx before the backup is start. But I dont find any option in agent to start a script.

Is some option available in version 2.1 or are there any other solutions?

Hi FabianF,

Since you are going to use scripting anyway – try to start the backup via script after the cleanup is performed. You can use windows task scheduler for it.
