Hello everybody,
I know that the automatic shutdown function with the Veeam Agent Workstation license is present, but, is it possible via script or possibly with a future update to allow it also on Veeam Agent Server?
I have a computer that has a SQL Server and the only version that takes care of backing up and saving everything in a Veeam B&R repository is the server license... but the shutdown function is not present
(correct me if I'm wrong)

Re: Server Agent Shutdown
Hi Ghost
You are correct, Server Agent doesn't use the same scheduler as the Workstation Agent.
Normally, a server is expected to run 24h hours a day, so we don't have that option in the Agent.
Veeam Agent for Workstation would also backup the sql server, but without application aware processing and with copy only VSS snapshot. You wouldn't have transaction log processing or transaction log truncation.
You can leverage after-job scripts in VBR to shutdown the workstation.
Thanks
Fabian
