StoreEasy/Windows 2012 Storage
Hi,
Do you see any problem installing VEB on a physical NAS Gateway (HP StoreEAsy/StoreFile) running Windows 2012 R2 Storage ?
Do you think it could work in a clustered setup (two storefile controllers sharing the same LUN for data)
Has anyone already tried this ?
Thanks

Hi Eric,
Sounds good.Do you see any problem installing VEB on a physical NAS Gateway (HP StoreEAsy/StoreFile) running Windows 2012 R2 Storage ?
Can you please elaborate a little bit, because I am confused with this question? Do you want to install Endpoint on a clustered volume or use the said LUN as a backup destination?Do you think it could work in a clustered setup (two storefile controllers sharing the same LUN for data)

Use it on a clustered volume
The goal is to backup the physical file service with Veeam.

Hi emachabert,
I thought you’ve actually tested it - sorry for keeping silence. To cut the long story short if you are backing up it volume (and entire PC) backup mode the clustered volume backup most probably fails on the second node.

Not yet... I need a lab env to validate this.
I'll let you know once done.
if it works when being used on only one node and does not cause any trouble to the clustered volume then it is fine.
if not, we'll use file mode instead of volume mode.

Sounds reasonable – don’t forget to share the results, and yes - file level backup should work anyway.
