Hello,
I'm new to veeam, and actually I'm just not sure how it works in deep.
I'm curious, is it possible to switch between OS types on a single machine (bare metal). Let's say that I've got a computer with Windows installed, is it possible to change OS on the same machine to some Linux (e.g. RHEL) and then Oracle Linux, and then back to Windows?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Switching Windows/Linux/Oracle Solaris
Hello!
If you mean restoring the backup of a Windows machine as a Linux machine, then this is impossible even in theory.
What you can do is build a new Linux machine, and restore files from the backup of a Windows machine using file-level recovery functionality of Veeam Backup & Replication (you can use the free Community Edition for this task).
Thanks!
