synology NAS as backup target

Post by Janndr »

Hello,

I try to setup Veeam Endpoint backup on a Notebook.

I installed it on one notebook a few days ago with out any problems. recoverymedia, shared Synology NAS as backup target, all without problem.

Now 2nd notebook....
Recovery media ok
But when I try to find the shared folder, I only get a blank window without any servers listed. Shared Folder, press browse, popup select Server, all white no servers listed.

At the same time I can connect with Windows explorer to the network folder on the NAS

Any Idea?

Hello,

What about network configuration of this notebook? Do you use Ethernet or Wi-Fi to browse for shared folders? Do you see any available shares if you click on the network node in Windows File Explorer?

Thank you!

Can you copy the full UNC path from the windows explorer to the configure backup wizard and if the file share is password protected (does not have anonymous Read/Write permissions) enter the user account and its credentials? Click Next to verify these settings and let us know the result.
