The RPC server is unavailable RPC function call failed

Hello,

we are using VEB ver 1.1.1.112 on a physical Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard for backing up some user data. After the server crashed, we restored system from Windows Backup restorepoint. After this we got a strange VEB error:
„The RPC server is unavailable RPC function call failed. Function name: [GetSvcVersion]. Target machine: [10.1.20.66]. „
10.1.20.66 is localhost.
We uninstalled and reinstalled VEB, exclude C:\Windows\Veeam from antivirus software, but nothing helped.

Windows Firewall setting (server is in domain): Domain Profile is Active, Windows Firewall is off.

Can you elaborate when you get the described error? Also I wonder if it’s possible to submit a support case from the Endpoint's UI or is it also crushing?

Hi,

after comparing this server with another one working I found Veeam Transport component missing. Recreate repository on this server through VBR solved this problem.

I'm using Veeam B&R 9.5 and I encountered the same error. Regenerating transport solved the problem, so thank you for your help.
