Hi, and hope you all don't mind a newbie question.
I have set my backup shared folder PC to start up daily (through power management in BIOS) at 3:00 AM and shut down (by task scheduler) at 4:30 AM after all backups are completed. I have Veeam Agents installed on three other PCs that backup to this share during that time. I have checked and the startup and shutdown are working properly before and after the backups. The backup shared folder PC does nothing else.
I know that this does expose the backups to malware etc. during that time window but am I correct that the backups are safe if not infected or corrupted during that time?
Thanks for any insights you may have.
All the best to everyone,
Don

Re: Tmed backups and shared folder shut down
Hi,
Provided that none of the PCs (including the one that hosts the shared folder) are infected, your backups are safe.
Thanks!

Out of curiosity, where does the question come from? I mean, did you have any doubts regarding your air-gap design?
Thanks!
Thanks!
