Troubleshooting SQL server problem
After uninstalling a beta version and installing version 1.1.2.119 I get an error saying that SQL server hosting the confnguration database is currently unavailable.
From control Panel I see that SQL Server LocalDB have been installed just now, but from the Services I see only the SQL Server VSS writer and no other SQL service.
I am quite sure that the problem depends on the PC, but how can I troubleshoot SQL issues?
Can uninstalling and reinstallinjg VEB be a solution?
Should I uninstall SQL?
Regards
marius

Re: Troubleshooting SQL server problem
I uninstalled VEB and re-installed it, but I get an error reporting that the installation failed and suggesting to check the installation log: where can I locate the log.
As Wiondows logs don't report anything, where can I locate VEB logs?
Regards
marois

Re: Troubleshooting SQL server problem
I performed the suggested procedure twice with no success. I uninstalled an re-installed VEB and SQL LocalDB with no success.
I am sure there is a problem somewhere in the PC, but how can I troubleshoot and locate it?
Is there any log I can look at?
Regards
Marius

Re: Troubleshooting SQL server problem
Marius,
Collect and share:
- The full setup logs from C:\ProgramData\Veeam
- Windows Event logs from windows event viewer (Custom View > Administrative events)
- LocalDB error log from %systemroot%\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server Local DB\Instances\VeeamEndPoint\ (it should look like error.log, error1.log, error2.log etc)
- Pack and send it via any available cloud storage (Dropbox/Google Drive/OneDrive etc)
- Ping me
