Unable to update and remove to remove the package

Hello everyone,

this is my first post here.
I have been using Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows Free Edition since Summer of last year. The version is now 2.0.0.700. The software works properly on my home PC under Windows 10.

Last week the agent shown a notification about a new version. The update keeps failing during the installation process asking me to provide a path to the file Veeam_BR_Endpoint_x64.msi:

"The feature you trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.

Click OK to try again, or enter an alternative path to a folder containing the installation package
'Veeam_BR_Endpoint_x64.msi' in the box below"

When I enter the path that I find under my user profile: C:\Users\hermannAppData\Local\Temp\RarSFX0\EndPoint\EndPoint\, which actually contains the file with exact the same name, the installer tells me that the file is a wrong one:
"The file ..... is not a valid installation package for the product Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows. Try to find the installation package 'Veeam_BR_Endpoint_x64.msi' in a folder from which you can install Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows"

Now I have realized that the failure occurs during the de-installation of the previous version! In fact when I try to remove this program the removal procedure shows the same dialogue window and asks me for the same file's location.

Hello and welcome to the community Hermann.

Looks like the msi might be somehow corrupted or deleted from the system. To quickly fix the problem try to download the full installation file from the website and run the setup. It should upgrade your existing version with all the settings preserved.

thank you for your quick reply!
Unfortunately it didn't work: the installation could not be succeeded due to the missing package (actually during the removal of the installed version).
Do you know, if I could download the installation package of the version 2.0.0.700, which is installed on my computer and which seems to be corrupted. I guess I could extract the missing file from there to supply a path to it during the removal process.
Can you help me providing the old installation package?

Actually, you can download version 2.0.0.700, just go to veeam.com, Sign in (in the top right corner) -> My Account -> Downloads -> Previous Versions downloads. Thanks!

I have the same problem during unistall on old Laptop...I would like to update or uninstall and update to new version but I'm stuck.

...but I can't find the old version 2.0.0.700.

The oldest version that can I found on veeam.com is 2.2 ...but doesn't work.

Anyone have a link at : 2.0.0.700 ?

Hi, try 2.2.0.589 and once the issue is fixed please upgrade to the latest version.
