uninstall errors

I tried upgrading to latest Veeam backup Free, but the uninstall needed to upgraded displays some weird errors.
They state vmaserviceinstaller, access is denied. How can i fix this? Using Win8.1.

Can you try running the uninstaller as administrator?

How can this be done?

I tried this, same error:

Elevated prompt cmd: C:\WINDOWS\system32>MsiExec.exe /X{25A9964F-7DB0-4E86-B39B-CAC5A42F191D}

Does the logged in account have administrative privileges to uninstall the software? Thank you.

Got it, thanks. I’ve asked QA to take a look but for further investigation, please, open a support case thru the Endpoint > Control Panel > Support (if its possible)

We might need some additional information, so once I hear back from QA I’ll update this thread.

I uninstalled Veeam backup and cant reinstall so not possible to send supportcase in that way.
I needed to uninstall because of the RC, no in place upgrade :(
Now i am stuck and cannot install either one.
I deleted the directories, registry entries and service (using sc /delete), but am still unable to install the RC,

Hello Wim,
What happen if you try to set up a new RC build? Any error / warning displayed? We may need the following information:

- The full setup logs from C:\ProgramData\Veeam
- Windows Event logs from windows event viewer (Custom View > Administrative events)
- LocalDB error log from %systemroot%\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server Local DB\Instances\VeeamEndPoint\ (it should look like error.log, error1.log, error2.log etc)

Could you please pack and send it to me via any available cloud storage (Dropbox/Google Drive/OneDrive etc). Thank you in advance.
