Unsupported VBM format

Hello, I have a problem when I want to open a .vbk file with Veeam agent 5.0.1.4584 the software tells me "unsupported vbm format". I specify that it is a 2017 file created with Veeam B&R of an old version (version 6 from memory). what would be the problem? Do I have to use an older version of Veeam? If so, can I do it with Veeam agent for windows or necessarily with Veeam B&R? Thanks in advance if you can help me.

Was the vbk created by a vbr server or an agent?

You cannot open backup files created by the vbr server with a veeam agent. You need to install a vbr server and import the backup files todo a restore.

Ok, yes it was created by Veeam B&R 2017 version. So I have to install Veeam B&R in demo version to open it ?

Yes, or you can use the community edition

Thank you, with the veeam b&r community edition, I can try to open it (only try because the backup is encrypted and I lost the password .. but that's another question !)
