Updated to V4.0, cbt driver still at 9.5?
Hi,
Case #04017428. I’ve upgraded the agent to V4.0, but programs and features still show the installed cbt driver as 9.5. However, when viewing the details of the agent using the B&R console, it shows V10 as version of the ct driver (Veeam Volume CT Driver (10.0.0.4342)).
Is this the same cosmetic issue as the installer service version not being updated in control panel or something else?

It sounds like a cosmetic issue by the looks of it but this can only get confirmed once support has looked at your case and did their research.

CBT driver installation requires reboot to complete, prior to reboot it would still show the old version on the agent machine (committed, finalized), but the Veeam console would see it's pushed the new component, status in protection group should say reboot required. Order of operations puts CBT installation after installation of the other agent components.
I'd expect a reboot of the machine / rescan of the protection group to resolve the mismatch

No, this is not the case. Machine has been rebooted already. Details of the managed server show the V10 ct driver. Control panel still shows the old version and install date. Just like the Veeam Installer service. This happens on all machines were the agent is being updated. See the case notes.

Hi folks,
Confirmed to be a UI glitch: driver gets updated to the new version correctly but version is incorrectly displayed in the UI. Will be fixed in the upcoming versions. Thank for you sharing!

Hi,
it's not the B&R UI that displays the version incorrectly, but control panel -> add remove programs that stills shows 9.5. However, after uninstalling that one, and reinstalling the CBT driver from the B&R console no CBT driver entry re-appears again in control panel, so I guess it's not a separate component anymore in V10 and hence, the V10 upgrade doesn't remove it first from control panel.

Franc,
Issue is related to the incorrect version in the Add/Remove programs, yes. Cheers!
