USB drive not ejecting

I have the setting checked off to "eject the external USB drive" after a backup completes and to test it out I started a manual backup but the drive did not eject and it's still accessible. Am I missing anything? How can I troubleshoot this?

Hello,
you are doing everything correctly. This checkbox is responsible for ejecting the USB drive.
How can I troubleshoot this?
please open a support case and post the case number here for reference
