I have a Windows 2016 server where I uninstalled VAW 4.0.1.2169 and then reinstalled it; the backup job is not managed by a VBR server. I upgraded to VAW4 from VAW3 sometime in August.
After software re-installation, I tried to install our license file. I received an error message with words similar to "Unable to install license file. This file does not contain an instance count."
Our license file contains both socket and instance counts. Fortunately, I found a standalone VAW license file and was able to install a license.
I might have another server built in the next few weeks and I will need to install the VAW software and a license on it.
I'm wondering if there's something amiss with our license file that contains both socket and instance counts.
Thanks.

Re: VAW 4 License Install Error
Hello,
you can split licenses in the license management of my.veeam.com. If that does not work for you, please open a licensing case.
Best regards,
Hannes
