My backups kept hanging and the logs said "--vdisk_corrupted"
To solve the hang, you have to go into Windows Task Manager and kill all the Veeam processes. That's the only way to recover.
The vdisk corrupted error is caused by a bad sector on your SSD or hard drive.
Use chkdsk c: /r /scan
to repair your disk.
I had to do this about 5 times (which really surprised me; I had expected one and done).
Once the disk is clean from a chkdsk point of view, the backup will work.
Tried reporting this to tech support, but no resources for free users.
I hope this saves someone hours of troubleshooting.

Re: --vdisk_corrupted SOLVED
Hello,
I saw I had some bad sectors in a computer here with Windows event log. Didn't think it would mess up the backup. This worked for me, good post.
Thanks.
