Failed to backup Outlook.pst

Hi.
we are planning to bury Symantec DLO, but faced issue with x64 outlook PST files (not MS Exchange) - VEB can't backup it using VSS engine and skipping it.
any ideas how to fix it?

Hi Kirill,

To double check you are talking about .pst not .ost is that correct?

VEB does not exclude the pst files, however check Microsoft default vss exclusions

Error with some pst files

The backup job is configured to copy a folder of data, including files pst files.
Always fails the same two pst files.

How could I analyze which may be the reason?
In the begining I thought they could leave open the outlook, but I make sure they close it properly
Could anybody help me to solve the problem and try to backup all users data

it's my bad.
here is warning text from Email (I'm confused that this is not in Win Event log but email only)
"Failed to backup [Users\some_user_name\Documents\Файлы Outlook\Outlook.pst]"
and this is only Outlook x64 related issue.

Hello,
The Outlook is 2016 edition.
Some pst files are backup properly, but anothers fails, and always fail the same pst files

Hi Jose,

If it are always the same PST files, you might want to check this article: https://support.office.com/en-us/articl ... 0a6e3567cd and run scanpst on those specific ones. I am guessing the PST files that fail are having some issues

Hi Kirill,

I just reviewed your support case and it is in a state where it asks for your acceptance. Unfortunately for me the case is not in my language so I can't read what the outcome is. Can you review your support case again? You should have received a few emails and (I think) that one of them actually tells you what is happening with the PST.

@Dima: Since it is in your language you might be able to shed some more light ;-)
