VEB support for scale out repository

Question: Does Veeam Endpoint Backup support VBR v9 Scale Out repository as a target?
Trying to set this up and it's not seeing it, although other repositories are listed.

Hello David,

Unfortunately, scale out backup repository is not supported as a target for VEB jobs. Though, this is a temporary limitation which should be removed in the upcoming releases.

OK, have worked around by adding second instance of target repository outside the scale out repository.

Permissions option is grayed out on stores added to Scale-out repo and then enabled on the Scale-out repo, but obviously don't work yet...

True. Please use the simple backup repository for VEB jobs. However, we plan to eliminate the said limitation in the upcoming versions

I have just installed Veeam Endpoint version 1.5.0306 and I'm trying to backup the server to a Scale-Out repository on Veeam B&R last version.

Does anyone knows if this is supporyed or when It will be.

Are there any new information yet? The support told me last year, that there should be a newer version of VEB which contains this feature. But on the other hand I've heard that this feature will only be available in the new Veeam Agents.

True. Upcoming Veeam Agent for Windows 2.0 (successor of Veeam Endpoint Backup) will have an option to use scale out backup repository as backup destination.

Hi,

I have downloaded the latest version of Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows (v2.0.0.594) and I am unable to see the scale out repositories on my Backup and Replication 9.5 server. I have already installed the latest update on B&R v9.5 to update 1.

I believe this feature was going to be available in the latest beta release, does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve the issue?

Hi Ashley,

This should work in the Beta. Check if you have set agent's permissions on scale out repository correctly.
