I have downloaded the install file off of Veeam.com and tried to install it that way also (running as an administrator), but this has not worked either, same error message.

Doing a scan of the hard drives for "Veeam" and ".msi" I can see some old files, but none current. The old names have "Veeam_B&R_Endpoint_x64.msi" with an extra ampersand in the filename:
Is this something to do with having Veeam B&R 10 installed, but not Veeam B&R 11?

Can you tell us a little more precisely, what you are trying todo?
Are you trying to install the Veeam Agent V5.0 on a system which has Veeam B&R V10.0 installed?
Or are you trying to install the agent V5.0 on a Server with an old Agent already installed?
Veeam Agent 5.0 is not supported with Veeam B&R V10. You need Veeam B&R V11 for the new Agent.

B&R 10 with Agent v4 installed, went to use the VAW GUI to upgrade to version 5 and it says it can't find the install files. Your last line solves the issue, thank you

Hi Mildur,
My offsider installed VAW version 5 on another client's backup server that has B&R version 10, so now I'm confused again as to why it wouldn't work for me for the client I was working with. Hopefully someone can go through the logs I uploaded for Case #04816145 and tell me why it isn't installing.

Thanks for your help anyway Mildur, I have used Revo Uninstaller to rip it out by the roots and installed VAW version 5, which seems to have picked up like nothing has happened.
I noted that the install date for VAWv4 was the same date as when we installed Veeam B&R, so I assume the issue occurred back then and has only become an issue now while trying to uninstall.
One of the Veeam admins here can close Case #04816145 if they like
