Veeam agent 6 Failed to resolve IPs for CIFS share

Backups are failing on new install of Veeam agent 6 backing up to Synology RS422+ fileshare. Error: Failed to resolve IPs for CIFS share 'Veeam.Backup.Core.CBackupRepository'. Failed to extract SMB host name by the specified path: [\\GW-NAS02/greenway_backup/]. Parameter name: path

I can ping the nas by hostname as well as IP address. I changed the backup file share to the IP address instead of hostname but it still fails. I created support ticket Case #05888275
