Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows 5.0

Post by demo »

Hi experts,

I have windows agent installed in my client computers . I am configuring backup jobs from the agent. But some of users have local administrator permissions in the computers. So how can I restrict or not give permissions for that user account to configure or interrupt any backup jobs

Thanks!

Hello,
But some of users have local administrator permissions in the computers
independent from Veeam or what you try to do: a local administrator can always override.

Best regards,
Hannes

Hello demo,

You can set Veeam Agent UI in the read only mode, but that would require to export the agent configuration as XML and changing
LockDownMode parameter to true. Configurator functionality requires Veeam Agent license. Here is the full Veeam Agent Configurator overview: Configurator Reference > XML File Structure > Application Parameters. Thanks!
