Veeam Agent for Windows 2.2.0.589 FREE

Hello,

I have two questions :
We currently have laptops with Veeam Endpoint Backup 1.5.0.306 and we would like to switch to Veeam Agent for Windows 2.2.0.589 FREE
First question :
Is there a possibility to migrate the stations automatically without losing the existing configuration?
Second question:
Is it possible to install Veeam Agent for Windows 2.2.0.589 FREE directly with a configuration with a configuration export for example?
The goal is to make a deployment package.

Yes, you should be able to initiate the automatic upgrade without loosing the existing configurations. Review this article in the User Guide for additional information.
You can use command line utility in order to import\export configuration of a standalone agent. Thanks!

Thank you for answering.
But we have the free version of veean agent for windows and the import doesn't work it takes the paid version for it to work.
Is there anyway a solution ?
the other question was rather how to upgrade from Veeam Endpoint Backup to Veeam Agent for Windows without losing anything ?
The article "https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/agent ... tml?ver=21" just tells how to do an upgrade and not a migration.

Hi cmorange.

You can perform installation of Veeam Agent for Windows in silent mode to upgrade all your agents. With such approach agent license is not required. Cheers!

So we can not deploy veeam Agent (Free version) with a specific conf like this:

==> Veeam.Agent.Configurator.exe -import does not work with the "FREE" version
I did not find other methods ?

Regarding the upgrade from the old version to the new I will test in silent mode installation

Configuration API requires license to be installed, so it will accept only the license command in free edition. Thanks!
