The install of the update 3.0.1 from within agent 2.2.0.589 fails, also the install from the manually downloaded install file.
In the endpoint log is mentioned:
Code: Select all
[01.05.2019 22:30:16][ERROR] System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (0x80004005): Non recoverable error on installation.
bij Veeam.Setup.MsiLibrary.VmMsiCommon.CheckError(VmMsiDatabase db, UInt32 result)
bij Veeam.Setup.MsiLibrary.VmMsiCommon.InstallProduct(String product, String commandLine, Boolean& bReboot)
bij Veeam.Setup.Endpoint.Core.MsiPackageInstaller.InstallWithProgressHandling(IProgressReporter progressReporter, String msiPackage, String commandLine, String logFile)
bij Veeam.Setup.Endpoint.Core.ProductInstaller.Install(IProgressReporter progressReporter)
bij Veeam.Setup.Endpoint.Core.InstallerEngine.Install(IProgressReporter progressReporter)
[01.05.2019 22:30:16][ERROR] Installation failed.
[01.05.2019 22:30:16][INFO] InstallerEngine session completed. Result = Failed
Anyone knows what goes wrong?

Problem solved by removing all instances of microsoft sql server 2012 express localdb and then reinstalling the new Veeam Windows Agent 3.0.1.

Jan,
Thank you for your post. It looks like the issue was caused by missing Microsoft msi files which are required during upgrade since latest VAW has newer version of the SQL server. Glad to hear that your issue was resolved and you are up and running. Cheers!

Hi,
I have the same problem on a PC with SQL Server installed. Since this is production SQL I cannot remove it.. It seems that the localdb is unable to install, maybe because I already have a full SQL instance installed.
Is this s known issue ?
