Veeam Agent For Windows Free Edition failed network target backup

I have opened the Case #05888461 on VAW Free Edition.
Error massage states that "Error: Failed to save backup meta to '\\---\Org\---\Job ORG3\Job ORG3.vbm'. The system cannot find the file specified. Failed to rename file from [\\---\Org\---\Job ORG3\Job ORG3.vbm_tmp] to [\\---\Org\---\Job ORG3\Job ORG3.vbm]" (I intentionally replace part of the network path with '---'). But there is no .vbm nor .vbm_tmp file in target folder. After backup job erroneous completion there is only one .vbk file of tiny size 1,5 Mb.
I tried several ways to resolve the issue (recreating backup job from scratch, changing the set of folders to be backupped, updating VAW version from 5 to 6) but no use. We have several other workstations that uses VAW to backup data in the same way.
I understand that support for free editions is provided at best effort and I understand that closing my case is the easiest way but I hope that someone can take a glance at the whole conversation within my case and push the case a bit further to analyse attached logs to find the real reason fo error arise.

if you want to start from scratch, then I would remove everything in C:\ProgramData\Veeam\ to be sure, that there is really nothing left from the old configuration.

I've tried many ways to make the VAW to work but no use.
I've decided to drop WAV and started to use VB&R CE to backup this very workstation. My pain in this case that this workstation backup occupies one free slot of 10 available in CE edition.

@nick-p you redacted the path. So you'll have to do it by yourself: how many characters is long that UNC path?
According to Microsoft, the max lenght should be more than 32k characters.

However... in my experience sometimes network operations for UNC paths can go sideways with more than 250 chars, including the server/hostname part if present.

if your server cannot handle that correctly. And i don't know what Veeam products support.
