Veeam Agent for Windows MD5 Incorrect?

Post by nkm »

Hello,

Just downloaded and extracted this zip. I checked the EXE file in windows and the MD5 hash doesn't seem to match what's given on the download page.

Downloaded Version: 5.0.0.4301

MD5 on DL page: e37dd91cb11ba5b62c2c0700de5fadee

MD5 check on system not matching.

Anyone else see this? I don't want to install on system until I can verify it's authenticity. Thanks in advance.

Code: Select all

C:\Windows\system32>CertUtil -hashfile C:\Users\thelo\Downloads\VeeamAgentWindows_5.0.0.4301.zip MD5
MD5 hash of C:\Users\thelo\Downloads\VeeamAgentWindows_5.0.0.4301.zip:
e37dd91cb11ba5b62c2c0700de5fadee
CertUtil: -hashfile command completed successfully.
MD5 at the download page is e37dd91cb11ba5b62c2c0700de5fadee

Any chance you've 'hashed' the unzipped file?

Whoops...sorry about that. I've actually never had to check a compressed folder before and didn't realize unzipping it would change this.
