Veeam Agent for Windows Server Error Conecting to VBR(free)
Hi,
I've installed a VAW(Server) on a server with W2012R2 and configured a backup to a VBR(Free) on a Azure VM.
I can configure the backup job, present the repo, schedule, etc. (had a problem connection to VBR but created Inbound rule to allow TCP on port 10001).
Now I' getting the this error:
20/06/2017 23:08:30 :: Error: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 10.0.0.4:2500
However I can't finde anything with 10.0.0.4 IP on my network.
Some help.
Thanks

Fabio,
It looks like VAW is trying to connect to your repository. In this case most probably the VBR (Free) on the Azure VM. I am assuming that the VM in Azure is using that port internally. For a full list of ports needed: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/agent ... tml?ver=20
That W2012R2 server, is that located on-premises or also in Azure?
Mike

Hi Mike,
The W2012R2 is a on-prem server.
I've created an inbound rule for the TCP range 2500-5000 on the Azure VBR (free) server but still got the same error.
(the 10.0.0.4 is the Private IP Address of the Azure VM and the address I gave to the Agent was the Public IP Address) NAT problem ? how to solve this?

This is actually a problem as you will need a VPN to this. You can't do this over the internet with the public IP unless you have cloud connect (VCC for the enterprise)
So that won't work I'm afraid. You can look at our Veeam PN (free) offering to setup the VPN between Azure and on-premises

You can deploy VeeamPN from the Azure marketplace but you can install it also on-premises. Documentation can be found here: https://www.veeam.com/veeampn_1_0_user_guide_pg.pdf

Thanks Mike, I'll test that.
