Veeam Agents throttling - bandwidth

Post by elopez »

Is there any way to control the bandwidth that the agent consumes when configuring it to backup to an external Veeam B&R console? My customer has a 4Mb MPLS connection between the branch and the main office, but they would like to use only 2Mbps of the 4 available.

Is there any way to achive this, I have seen any several backup tools that can do it... does Veeam can do it as well? And HOW!?

Best regards.

Hi, Eduardo - no, Veeam Agent does not have this feature yet, however it's on the roadmap. Thanks!

as a temporary solution you may use global throttling rules in Veeam B&R general settings configured for Veeam Agent for Windows IP range. It's not ideal but might be a good workaround that exists now. Take a look at this Help Center article for more details. Cheers!
